Our holy grail is to create easy, minimal, and classic clothing that goes beyond seasons, fads, and trends. We bring back the old methods to produce and slow down in the world of fast fashion.
About us
Hathkala is a small home-run venture with local artisans of Chanderi and Maheshwar. Born in the small town of Chhatarpur, near Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh.
The idea is to make handloom relatable and affordable for all generation by focusing on quality over quantity. Each piece at Hathkala is carefully handmade with utmost importance given to the silhouettes, designs, fabrics, and colours that can be worn by women from all ages!

We work with weavers and artisans from different parts of the country. Our aim to remove the middlemen and work directly with the weavers.
Meet our founder
Meet the visionary behind Hathkala, Noopur Chaturvedi, a creative powerhouse with a passion for handcrafted textiles. With a post-graduate degree from the prestigious NIFT Bengaluru, Noopur has always had a deep love and appreciation for the art of handloom weaving.
Determined to bring this traditional craft to the forefront, Noopur founded Hathkala, a brand that offers a wide range of handcrafted saris and suits. With the aim of making handloom wear accessible and affordable for everyone, she works closely with the skilled weavers of India to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also ethically made.
She's on a mission to provide sustainable livelihoods for the weavers and revive traditional weaving techniques. Through Hathkala, she is working to create a positive impact on the planet and the communities that produce beautiful garments.
